The Envisioning Center is a place where Microsoft brings its highest profile visitors and clients to show off the future concepts it has in development. In late 2015, the company asked Studio O+A to design its latest iteration of the ‘Office of the Future’. The two then enlisted Superfab to develop and produce the entire scope of original elements conceived for this award winning project.

This eclectic scope included upholstered seat shelters, a stackable/reconfigurable box-based seating system, an integrally-lit suspended acoustic plane, one fine bar cart, and the space’s pièce de résistance: a freestanding meeting room we call the ‘Hex’. The centerpiece for all tours and presentations, the Hex incorporates an exceptional amount of tech integration within a structural system that is operable and yet elegantly resolved.
